My eating is out of control.
You know what healthy eating looks like. You know what you ‘should’ eat. You know the calorie count of all the foods and how much time on the treadmill it takes to burn them off. You’ve tried all the diets and have ‘failed,’ repeatedly. You struggle mightily to make healthy food choices and to work out regularly… but you just can’t stick with it. You feel weak. You feel like you’ll never figure this out.
You’ve heard — over and over again — how it needs to be a ‘lifestyle change,’ not a diet… but how do you actually do that?!?!
You’d love to be able to eat delicious food, and no longer be controlled by the overwhelming urge to eat every bite of it. You feel as though your thoughts will be plagued with what not to eat, how to lose weight, and how badly you are at this healthy lifestyle thing forever. How great would it be to be able to focus your time and energy on other things?
It is possible to create balance in your relationship with food and to not have it be daily struggle. You can learn how to focus your thoughts, energy, and behavior away from food, and toward living.
I’m passionate about helping you develop a healthier relationship with food and to reclaim your mind and your life. I’d love to hear from you via e-mail or the contact form.
I hate my body.
You’re uncomfortable in your own skin. On only the rarest of occasions do you think you look good. You’ve spent most of your life feeling self-conscious and comparing yourself to other people, especially those with a ‘great’ body.
Although you’ve tried and tried with diet and exercise, you can never achieve the shape you want. You ‘fail’ every time. You’re afraid you’ll always look ‘like this’… or worse. If you could only achieve the goals you have for your body, you could finally be happy, or at least get some relief.
There are specific parts of your body you absolutely loathe. You obsess about it, trying to figure out how to get rid of it, or hide it. You dread dressing for parties, and packing for vacation. You say the nastiest things to yourself — things you would never say to anyone else — but you deserve it…
You’d love to be able to accept your body as it is. And, what would it mean if you could go out without feeling self-conscious, look at pictures of yourself without cringing, and post unaltered pictures of yourself?
You can shift the way you feel about your body. You can even develop a sense of love and gratitude for your body without your body changing at all. (Yes, really.)
